OpenSolaris Specifications

System Requirements

• • Platform: SPARC*, x86 and x64 platforms (32-bit or 64-bit).
• • Memory: The minimum requirement is 512MB. Recommended size is 768MB.
• • Disk space: Recommended size is 7GB. A minimum of 3GB is required.

* OpenSolaris is available for SPARC as an Automated Install image only. Sun4v and Sun4u based systems are supported with a OBP (Open Boot PROM) level of 4.17 or greater.
